Steamboat Springs

Every year my family tries to get together at a condo, usually in Utah, to spend a few days. This year it was kind of nice to be the one who had the least distance to drive! A couple of weeks ago, me, Jack, and Zander headed to Steamboat Springs to spend time with some of my family. It is just two hours away. Dustin was starting basketball, so he wasn't able to join us. Jack was kind of sick most of the time, but he didn't let that stop him from having lots of fun with his grandma and grandpa and lots of cousins! We had lots of fun hiking, making t-shirts for the kids, swimming, playing games, shopping down town, playing at the park, and eating yummy food. Here are a few highlights.
Here is my mom reading Jack and Lily a bedtime story the night we got there.
Jack getting ready to go swimming. The weather was just nice enough and the outdoor pool just warm enough that we could swim in the outdoor pool....in the middle of October! Awesome!
Jack posing on the rock saying, "You don't wanna mess with this!"
Me and my boys on the beautiful Fish Creek Falls hike.
My amazing mom and dad! I love this picture of them!
Having our picnic lunch!
And the other table...
Rick and Stacy and their fun little family!
Me, Jack, and my mom....and yes I had been crying. I had a meltdown after Zander had a screaming meltdown.
I love this picture of my mom with Jack and Lily.
The kiddos. (Jack is crying because someone stepped on his hand.)
Jack climbing
I love this picture of Jack walking up the trail with his Grandpa!
Lisa and Lily
Mylee and Jack playing at the park
Yeah, he totally came out and landed on his butt! Love his face!
This kind of looks like a yoga pose...
Jack and me at the park by the pond
Jack by the big elk statue
Grandma and Jack by stinky Sulfer Spring.
Playing mini golf. It was actually closed for the season, but Stacy busted out all her kid putters and balls and the kids played....we paid someone....I think!
Aubrey couldn't get enough of Zander! :)
Jack was the first kid to win BINGO! Lisa was helping!
Madison made us cute, yummy Halloween spider cupcakes and here is Amy telling everyone a cute, funny Jerry Seinfeld Halloween story!
Jack and Mylee modeling their T-shirts they made. Jack's says, "Jack O Lantern"
I actually left both my boys in the care of my two brothers and went shopping with all the girls and Dad. It was a little weird leaving them, but also kind of heavenly...Especially when we ate yummy fancy carmel apples at the Rocky Mountian Candy Factory. Here is Lisa and me posing outside the shop.
Lisa and Lily and Jack and me swimming at the Indoor Pool.
Jack getting ready to jump in! This kid is getting pretty good in the water!
Me and my boys at the pool
Mylee and Jack playing on the patio.
We totally had a little Dance Party! I was waiting for someone to come tell us to quiet down. It was pretty fun seeing the kids, my sister-in-laws, and other family members jamming out! Here is Jack dancing.
Jack wasn't feeling that good during the dance party....I came into the room to find him asleep like this.
Mylee and Kirk dancing. I think this is such a cute pic of my brother and his little girl!
Crazy kids!
We have such fun little personalities in our family!

Monkey faces!
A pic of everyone that was there! This was right before we all were leaving. We missed Clint and Holly's fams, and Dustin, but it was a really fun time!

On the drive home, with about 25 miles to go, Jack puked up chocolate milk and cheetos. Needless to say, I went about 90 the rest of the way, driving with my nose plugged because the car reeked so bad, while Jack sat there calmly and Zander screamed. Yeah. It was an awesome drive home.

It looks so beautiful there! I'm glad you had a good time with everybody. Sorry about the Cheetos/Choc Milk fiasco. Ugh. I hate it when kids throw up in the car.

It does look beautiful there! You look so much like your sisters. There is definitely a family resemblance! :) Sorry Jack wasn't feeling well! It sounds like a good time was had by all, though.
