What have we been up to?

What HAVE we been up to?  Hmmm....Well the following pictures should give an idea:

Jack is still a crazy, busy, goofy, adventurous, curious, smart, milk-loving, outdoorsman.  We sure enjoy every new adventure with him, and it truly is amazing how he is learning so much and saying so much!

Dustin has been working hard building us a new Trek deck.  It is finally done, and it looks great.  Plus, no more slivers in Jack's hands!  Yay!

Here is Jack helping by handing Daddy some screws.

Yeah this is pretty much how I have felt the last month....

I did a whole lot of grading the last two weeks of school.  I am VERY happy to be out for summer break!

Oh and Dustin grew a beard again.  It is now gone again.  He likes mixing it up with the facial hair experiments.

Now more about Jack:  One Sunday Jack was not feeling good.  This was the only way to console him and get him to eat.  So he got to eat out on the deck.   Hey, don't judge.  It worked.

We are still trying to get Jack to stop hitting.  This is him in his "Time Out" spot.  He isn't enjoying it in this picture, but other times he hits and then goes and sits over there happily by himself.  What a stinker! :)

He loves climbing up on this and jumping off! What a little dare devil!

A mischievous face!

Checking out the big tulips!  Sad how fast tulips die though. They are already gone!

Attempting to drink out of a big boy cup.  He has not mastered this skill yet.

Nice strategically placed bat, Jack! :)

1:00 church is rough.  It is right during nap time.  This is what Jack looks like every Sunday by the time we have pulled into our driveway after church.  He is however LOVING nursery!

Jack outside playing.  He loves hats lately.  In fact, he finds my beanies in the closet and loves to put them on! Tonight he picked one that actually matched his outfit, so we let him wear it all night to my softball game.

Jack sporting some pajamas and his sweet galoshes that a friend gave us.  He loves those boots!

An awesome picture of Jack, once again in pjs and his boots, asking for his "wa-wa."  (He calls every beverage "wa-wa.")

A silly face

If you can't tell in this picture, Jack is wearing my belt.  Jack loves wearing our belts and our shoes.

Jack loves opening and closing doors, especially the fridge door.  For once it would be awesome to go to the bathroom though without him and Chewie coming in and Jack shutting the door and closing us all in there together...

Our little stud muffin...kind of acting shy.  He has been acting more and more shy lately.  Weird.

My three boys lounging.  I love these guys!

Jack and Chewie snuggling!  (A rare moment!)

Jack being silly.  We were going through clothes that my sis-in-law gave us, and Jack found this hat and wore it around all night! :)

Jack standing on Daddy....

And jumping on and off....

And getting tossed in the air....Woo hoo!  Good times with Daddy!

And Jack is learning how to brush his own teeth!

The end.....Ha!  Ha!  I couldn't resist, but this really is the end of our long post.  We are off to Utah for some family reunions!  Wahoo!  We will have lots to update when we get back!  So for now, enjoy this lovely picture of Jack's cute little bum! :)

Memorial Day Weekend in Logan!

Memorial Day weekend we headed down to Logan.  Always good times and good food when my family gets together.  Here are some highlights  and low lights:

We went golfing.  Here is Lisa's manly man in his "salmon" shirt and my manly man in his "lavender" shirt.  Oh boy.

Prior to The INCIDENT:
THE INCIDENT:  I might as well explain what happened right away.  We were only on Hole # 2.  I was attempting to drive the golf cart from the passenger side and Lisa was in front of me getting ready to hit her ball.  Well as I tried to go around Lisa my foot got stuck between the pedals or something, really I have no idea how it happened, and the crazy cart, which I swear is possessed, ran into my 6 months pregnant sister and knocked her to the ground.  Everyone kind of freaked, me most of all probably.  She is totally okay, a little grass stain on her leg, but it was super scary, crazy, and just a totally freak accident.

The aftermath:  I bawled for at least 2 more holes.  Lisa, though shaken, seemed quite fine and happy as ever.

The victim in the possessed golf cart!

Stacy and mom taking over their half of the golf day!

Jack loved swinging and being in my parent's backyard all day every day we were there.  I agree though - what a fun back yard with a swing set, a basketball court, and balls and toys galore!

Playing on the swing set:  Daddy and Jack, Aubrey, Conner, and Drew

Jack crashing the big kid's sleepover and everyone enjoying it!

Mylee holding Chewie

Aubrey, Grandma, Jack, and Mommy

Jack and Aunt Lisa.  Jack won't be the youngest grandchild for long.  Lisa is due in September.

Jack and Mommy after church.

Here is Jack really enjoying popcorn with Lisa, Bryce, Riley, Maddy, Conner, Aubrey, and Drew. It was the kid's movie night! :)

We went on a walk down to the Providence cemetery.   Here is the gang getting ready to begin the walk, everyone but Grandma who we were waiting for.

Cute little Aubs-Ka-Bobs!
On the way back we found a worm and gave it to Jack.  He pulled it apart and said, "Uh-oh.  Broke."  Pretty funny.  If you can't tell, in this picture he is showing us the worm while it was still ummm........unbroken! :)

We went up to the park and played kickball.  This is the winning kickball team.  Notice neither Dustin and I are on it.....Hmmmm......
We also had drop kicking contests and rolled down the hills.  Here is Jack's first experience with rolling down a hill.  He thought it was pretty fun and was laughing pretty hard!

Maddy and me up at the kickball field.  I cannot believe I have a niece that is 11!  She is getting and looking so old! :) Crazy how time flies!

Bryce and Lisa busted out a cheap little slip and slide.  It was a hit with all the kids, at least for 5 minutes.  Good times were ruined by a rain cloud that blew in really fast. As you can see by Jack's face in this picture, those 5 minutes were lots of fun and he enjoyed it! :)

Riley coming down the slide and splashing Jack! :)

Cute, tiny little Mylee. Yes, she really is over 6 months older than Jack, even if she doesn't look like it! :)

The kids basking in a few minutes of sunshine!

Jack cuddling with Aubrey

Aunt Lisa made some homemade Oreo ice cream.  Daddy and Jack are OBVIOUSLY enjoying it!

The sweet boy peacefully sleeping the morning we left.  Too bad we had to wake him up to get on the road so daddy could get to work on time!

Jack of course fought sleep almost the entire drive back to Bozeman.  Of course with only 20 minutes left in the drive we look back to see this:  Jack fast asleep with the food we gave him to try to keep him happy the whole drive home crusted to his face.  (He did not take a nap when we arrived home because apparently his little power nap was just enough!)
Thanks for the fun times, fam!  See you in another week! :)
