Easter and a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Hansen

It was my mom's Spring Break, so my parents came up for a visit this past week!  It was so wonderful to have them here.  It was actually pretty good weather most of the days they were here!  We did some fun things and my mom spent a lot of time with Jack while I worked.  My dad got to go fishing so he was happy.  We went shopping, out to eat, and for lots of walks.  It was great to have them here to celebrate Easter with us!  Thanks for the visit and for all you did for us!  Here are some highlights from the visit and from Easter!
Here is  Jack and Grandpa enjoying cookies together on the couch!

We took Jack to an Easter Egg hunt here in town at a park.  He just loved seeing so many other kids.  He seemed distracted by them, but he managed to get a few eggs.  I let him do it on his own. I am glad I am not one of those mothers who ran around gathering up a ton of eggs for my one year old. Jack enjoyed doing it on his own!

Putting eggs in his basket.

Jack only gathered like 6 eggs, and most were filled with kind of lame stickers, but one egg was a major hit because it had balloon. That made it all worth it! Jack LOVES his balloon! And that balloon saved Jack a few times when he fell. It was a nice cushion for him.

After the hunt, Jack of course wanted to play on the playground. Here he is swinging!

And loving it!

My mom brought Jack and us treats for Easter and went to the store and bought me this beautiful, wonderful smelling Easter lily!

My mom took such good care of us while she was here. She took Jack and I shopping and spoiled us. She made delicious meals for us, and she took care of Jack when I had to work. I just wanted to let her know that she is such a beautiful and amazing woman. I truly miss getting to see her more often. Thanks for everything mom!

There are always yummy things around when Grandma is here. Grandma let Jack lick the batter of the mixers. Jack is enjoying the cake batter on the mixer and daddy is enjoying the batter off of Jack's hand!

Dustin enjoying some yummy banana bread my mom made.

Here is Jack's Easter basket. The bunny was pretty good to him. He got a blanket, a coloring book and crayons, a book about Spring time, a stretchy dinosaur, a sketchy thing, a chocolate bunny, candy sports jewelry, a swim suit top, and a water bottle filled with candy! What a load!

Here is Jack with his basket. He has no clothes on because he speared syrup from breakfast everywhere!

Jack and Chewie (with a new hair cut) checking out Jack's loot!

Here is Jack sporting an odd assortment of gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Hansen. They got him the swimming top and the dress black shoes. Not meant to be worn together, but Jack was loving it!

Here is our family in our Easter clothes. Not only did my mom buy Jack his black dress shoes, but she bought be a darling skirt and cute yellow blouse for my Easter outfit. We got very spoiled!

Best picture of the day with my Jackie Bean!

Here is Jack with Grandma and Grandpa in his darling Easter suit from Grandma and Grandpa Enslinger!

Here is Jack excitedly waiting to go out and gather the Easter eggs he could see out on the back lawn. We did a little hunt for Jack. He would see an egg and say, "Ooooh!" and hurry and grab it and put it in his basket. He did really good. I especially liked when he saw a few eggs out there and couldn't decided which one to go to first. It was also cute when Chewie tried to sniff some eggs and Jack yelled "No Chewie!" It was really fun to watch his excitement! He was especially excited when he discovered the candy inside. We had to pause the hunt so he could eat a Milky Way! :)

Jack finding an egg!

Jack did not want to take time to pose for any pictures, so his head is practically down in every one that we took from the day. He is however very interested in his basket full of eggs and candy!

Here's our little family with Jack's hunt findings!

Here is Jack enjoying some of the treats from his Easter egg hunt!
My mother made a delicous Easter meal spread. We had roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, asparagus, homemade rolls, cherry pie, and strawberry shortcake. Totally amazing! As you can see Jack enjoyed it so much that he felt it necessary to smear potatoes all over his whole body!

We had a wonderful visit with my mom and dad. We had a great time together. Thanks mom and dad for everything you did for us and for coming up here to visit us! We sure do love you!  And we hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter!  We sure did!

Such cute pictures! And you are a great narrator! That is so great that your parents got to come visit. It's so fun being spoiled by mom/grandma, they're the best! Your mom is so sweet for doing all that. I heard there is a new cousin coming soon...yay!
